This Privacy Policy explains how Mini Akihabara ("we", "us"; operated by Take-one Technology HK Limited) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit miniakihabarashop.com (the "Site") or buy from us.
Information we collect
- Order information: when you check out, we receive your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number (if provided), the items you bought and the amount paid. Payments are processed by Shopify Checkout and its payment providers; we do not see or store your full card number.
- Messages: information you send us through our Contact page or by email, such as your name, email address and message.
- Technical information: like most websites, our servers and service providers may automatically record basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, and the Site uses cookies or similar storage that are needed for the shopping cart and checkout to work.
How we use your information
- to process, ship and deliver your order, and send you order and tracking updates;
- to prepare the customs declaration required for international shipping;
- to answer your questions and handle refunds, returns or claims;
- to prevent fraud and keep the Site secure; and
- to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to run our shop:
- Shopify, which hosts our checkout and order system, and its payment processors;
- Japan Post and the destination carrier and customs authorities, which need your name, address, phone number and the parcel contents to deliver your order; and
- authorities, when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
- Essential browser storage supports your privacy preference and internal test settings. Shopify Checkout uses its own cookies; see Shopify's privacy policy for details.
- If you choose Allow for visit measurement, we keep campaign labels (source, medium, campaign, content and term) and the landing-page path in session storage for up to 30 minutes. If you proceed to checkout, we attach these labels to the Shopify cart and order to understand which content brought the order. We do not include the full page URL, contact details or advertising click IDs. You can decline or change this choice using Privacy choices at the bottom of the site. Declining does not prevent shopping. Labels already attached to an existing cart or order are not removed by changing your browser preference.
- This site does not currently send visit events to Google Analytics or Meta advertising pixels.
- If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in Hong Kong, Japan, the United States and other countries where we and our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected wherever it is processed.
How long we keep your information
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. We keep messages for as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. To make a request, contact us through our Contact page. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
